Initial situation:
Europa-Park® is a leisure and theme park in Rust, Baden-Württemberg. With around 5.6 million visitors in 2017, it is one of the most popular amusement parks in Germany. More than a hundred rides, several shows and a cinema offer the visitor a wide-ranging program. The 950,000 m² park also includes five hotels, with the 4-star superior experience hotel “Bell Rock”, whose management wanted a new lighting solution for the entrance area.

Customer request and order:
A stylish entrance lighting was to be created at the main entrance of the Bell Rock hotel. The architecture of the hotel is based on the magnificent buildings of America in the 18th century. The stately exterior façade with its imposing columns was to be presented in the right style. At best, the optics should be reminiscent of the aesthetics of old gas lamps.

The solution from BRAUN:
Several historical LED lights of the old Berlin type were used, which are modeled on the gas-powered original in form and lighting attributes. The luminaires are equipped with the His.lux Premium LED module. A BAMAG remote igniter housing with brass patent chain and pull ring round off the historical appearance.
The His.lux Premium LED module creates the warm, cozy impression of an old gas lamp. The historical lamps were mounted on matching wall brackets, which correspond to the era of the building. With these luminaires we combine the most modern technology in a “historical guise”.
